More info on Grandmother DIane's maternal relatives!!!

Sorry, I hit the send button-- didn't mean to leave you in suspense.  You should also send this to Kristin[?] who is tracking the Audlers in New Orleans:

 

According to the Archdiocese of New Orleans Archives, a Certificate of Marriage is on file for:

 

Lewis Audler and Esperance Dalouse.  Having the civil marriage date was a big help, and as I thought could be the case, it also lists Lewis Audler's parents and Esperance's too!!  So we have another few pieces of the FAQMILY TREE to fill in.  Here goes:

 

"LEWIS SIMON AUDLER son of [deceased] SALOMON AUDLER and [dec] HELENE BARNETT, married MARIE ESPERANCE DALOUSE, daughter of FLORENTINE DALOUSE and [dec] CONSTANTINE MIGUEL on the 17th day of May 1876 at St. Rose de Lima Church in the Roman Catholic Rite, officiated by Rev Francis Mittelbronn in the presence of: A.D. SALVANT; Ed. AUDLER; A. J. AUDLER; CHAS. AUDLER; E. BAUDIN".

 

So in one fell swoop, we now have a record of Evaline Diane Bonnemer's grandparents and great-grandparents on her maternal side!  Its a fair guess that the witnesses are also related.

 

But wait! There's a bit more!

 

Grandmother Diane's mother, Louise Valentine Audler, was, according to Church records, born on the 8th of August 1877, and baptised at St Rose of Lima Church on the 26th of May 1878.  In accordance with Church rules, sponsors must also be Catholic. Valentine's sponsors are listed as Adolphe Audler and Elmire Besnard.

 

More still:

 

There is also a record of the marriage of Grandmother Diane's parents.  This one lists Grandmother Diane's father's parents as Charles Louis Bonnemer and Alexandrine Larreins.

 

" Henri Jules Bonnemer, age 22, native of France, son of Charles Louis Bonnemer & Alexandrine Larreins and Valentine Louise Audler, age 19, native of New Orleans, daughter of Louis [here spelled L-O-U-I-S, not LEWIS]  

and Esperance Dalouse were married on the 26th of Septmeber 1896 by Rev A. Bulot, in the presence of "_? Baudry; Ch. Bonnecuez[?], and C. Audler;, D. Huard;, V. Doussan", at St Anne's Church. 

 

Okay, folks! Now we have it!
