As of one hour ago, my solar plexus began tightening up.... I am doing my best to not give in to fearful feelings.  As we survived Hurricane Andrew, here in Cutler Ridge and Homestead in 1992, we will survive Frances!  

 

After the couple of years it took to get back into our house in 1995, one of the first things we did as soon as we could was install the best accordion fold shutters on the market.  We also changed our roof back to gravel top from shingles as I noticed that the roofs with gravel fared better than the shingle ones in our neighborhood. 

 

Of course, with a tornado hit - there will be many - all bets are off. 

 

We are still gathering donations for Hurricane Charley relief.. hope we won't need any for our neighborhood!

 

There's another hurricane in the Pacific, right off Mexico... Hurricane Howard.
